What is Homeopathy?
In some parts of the world, homeopathy is the foundation of health and wellness care. With more than 200 years of clinical data, it is recognized by the World Health Organization as the second-most practiced form of medicine in the world. Homeopathy is a system of medicine that uses very small and very diluted doses of natural medicines, called remedies, to heal a variety of ailments. Remedies promote a healing response and bring the body back to balance.
The idea behind homeopathy is that if a substance can CAUSE certain symptoms to appear in a healthy person, then it can actually RELIEVE those same symptoms in a sick person. For example, homeopathic principles are used in allopathic medicine when a person with an over-stimulated brain is given a stimulant drug to help calm and focus them. These stimulant drugs are not homeopathic, but the example perfectly describes the action of homeopathic remedies.
Homeopathic medicines address complaints without the side effects of most pharmaceutical or over-the-counter medications. There are no known contraindications with any prescription or non-prescription drugs. In fact, conventional medications can antidote homeopathic remedies rather than the other way around.
